IMWA Talks
IMWA Talks serve as a global platform to unite the mine water community worldwide, with a special focus on IMWA members. These esteemed talks have a dual purpose: to enrich our members knowledge on various mine water topics and to enhance their expertise. While rooted in scientific advances, the lectures also cover broader topics that include business knowledge and cutting-edge technologies in mine water management. By combining specialist knowledge with practical insights, IMWA Talks promote a comprehensive learning experience and encourage participants to excel in both theory and practice in the dynamic field of mine water.
How can you participate
All active IMWA members will receive a link to the online Zoom meeting – if you would like to become a member, you can sign up here. If you are not yet an IMWA member, we still have 15 places available. Please e-mail us by clicking This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
We are currently focussing on these broad topics
- IMWA ScienceTALK: Investigate advanced mine water research methods (e.g. mine water tracer tests)
- IMWA BusinessTALK: Implementing strategies for efficient mine water management (e.g. implementing full scale geothermal applications)
- IMWA InnovationTALK: Discover groundbreaking approaches in mine water treatment (e.g. new mine water treatment technologies)
- IMWA FieldTALK: Showcasing noteworthy on-site mine water projects (e.g. share your exciting projects with us)
- IMWA ExperienceTALK: Let's listen to years of experience in the mine water sector
- IMWA SkillsTALK: Enhancing essential skills like conference presentation techniques (e.g. how to give a confrence presentation)
- IMWA Fika: A coffee and cake break without a specific theme, hosted by different countries.
